Common questions
How do I make my first card?
Tap the Add tab, take or choose a photo, type the word, then press and hold the microphone to record your voice. Tap the tick to save.
Can I use Flash Talker without signing in?
Yes. You can try the starter cards and browse the app. To save your own cards and keep them safe across devices, create a free account.
What is Baby Mode?
Baby Mode fills the screen with a single large card. Tap the picture to hear the word, swipe to move on, and press and hold the grown-up bar at the bottom for two seconds to exit.
How do I change the reading voice?
Go to Settings, choose Reading voice, and tap any voice to hear a preview. Your chosen voice is used whenever a card has no personal recording.
Is my data private?
Yes. Your photos and recordings are stored privately for your account only. Read more in our Privacy Policy.
